Academy Studio Abroad Sponsor The Signature Art Prize
We are excited to announce that Academy Studios Abroad will be sponsoring the Signature Art Prize 2015.
The art school situated in the beautiful Camargue region in the south of France will be offering a very special prize in conjunction with this year’s Signature Art Prize.
Painters and drawers will have the special chance to win a place on one of two courses offered by the academy; Masterclass in painting bulls and horses or the Landscape, still life and interior painting course.

Masterclass - Horses and Bulls.

This Masterclass combines the painting and sculpting of the unique inhabitants of this area of France, the Camargue bulls and the Camargue white horses. Led by two of the foremost exponents in the two mediums. The husbandry of the Camargue bull depends on the inter-relationship between the horse and bull and their human keepers, the guardiane. The rounding up of bulls in the landscape, and running the bulls in the streets to the bullring, where the Minoan sport of removing cockades from their horns takes place. The region provides a wonderful opportunity to study these beautiful creatures in their natural habitat.

Landscape Course
Topographical & Paysage

An opportunity to paint plein air in all mediums in this exquisite region, the course includes tutoring in both topographical and natural landscape. There is also a still life and interior and exterior architecture element to this course.

The courses are conceived and led by painter, Tod Ramos, who has taught and lectured in drawing and painting, in all mediums, at all levels from school to post-graduate for over 30 years. With expert help on hand, Academy Studio Abroad also offers beautiful accommodation in a temperate climate, and is surrounded by rugged French countryside in the stunning town of Aubais. “The landscape course at Academy Studios Abroad was a life changing event.
